Firefighters spat at and abused at scene of fire
Disgraceful and disgusting behavior occurred by a number of youths when they spat at and abused firefighters dealing with an outdoor fire.
The despicable anti-social act happened yesterday when firefighters from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary were attending the scene of a rubbish fire in the area.
Some of the firefighters were spat.
Carol Kennedy, ACFO at Tipperary Fire & Rescue Service said “I don’t think I need to explain the severity of spitting at someone in the current COVID-19 pandemic. In general, this doesn’t happen to us, but we’re asking people to show a little respect for all the emergency services.”
